“Hey world! There’s a climate climate emergency!” is what the email from 350 Eugene said announcing a protest on July 19. Due to the World Athletics Championships at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field, the organization said “we think this is an excellent opportunity to hit the streets with some of our beautiful art to share the message.” On July 19, they did just that and gathered at both the Ferry Street Bridge and and in front of the Whole Foods on 8th Ave.
