Despite his murder having been committed in Memphis, on the opposite side of the country, Eugene still felt that pain and seethed with anger. To honor his legacy, Eugnenians gathered at downtown’s Kesey Square on Jan. 28 and demanded justice during a candlelight vigil and short march led by Jay Brown and Kinaya Haug.
